Heart and Hand House, Inc, is a non-profit mission project affiliated with the United Methodist Church and is in north central West Virginia. It exists because of the clear Christian mandate to minister to the Phin crisis Our ministry programs include a food pantry; a home repair and construction program; assistance with utilities, rent, and certain medical expenses; providing layettes for newborn babies; and a backpack feeding program for local school children. We also operate two thrift stores and The Market Place, home of our Community Garden Market.

House of the Carpenter is a mission project affiliated with the West Virginia Conference of the United Methodist Church. This project serves people throughout the upper and lower Ohio Valley. Helping families, friends, and neighbors in need of food, clothing, shelter, and finance. Recently, they helped their neighbors in Ohio County with distribution, personal and financial aid due to the spring flooding. The House of the carpenter serves as a resource center between Charleston and those in the Northern District as a central place to gather and send financial, and resource support for regions outside of the district that need support; in and out of the state.

A Disaster Relief Ministry of the West Virginia Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church. Disaster response ministry demonstrates a core Christian value: caring for people affected by specified. Sudden emergencies. Our Conference disaster response coordinators help assess needs in the days following a disaster, recruit work teams, and help organize and collect materials such as cleaning buckets, health kits, and other materials as needed.
