As a non-profit organization, the Community Breadbasket depends heavily on community support to carry out our mission. There are variety of ways to get involved with the Community Breadbasket. The Community Breadbasket is stocked through the support of our churches and local business. Bulk supplies are purchased from the Mountaineer Food Bank, a member of America's Second Harvest. Volunteers from several local congregations under the direction of the Program Administrator, help with the distribution, order filling, as well as other organizational functions. We have dedicated volunteers who faithfully come to fill and distribute food orders. If you or someone you know would be interested in volunteering. Much of the food comes from Mountaineer Food Bank a member of America’s Second Harvest.

Here at the Friendship Room, we are present to serve the immediate needs of our neighbors in downtown Steubenville and the Ohio Valley. To feed the hungry, clothe the naked, tend to the sick and elderly and invite our guests in for refuge. We believe that a single action or interaction can make a difference in the community, and that collective action can greatly impact the world. Through advocacy and outreach, our team works tirelessly each day 24/7 to service the needs of the most vulnerable, hidden poor and abused in our society.
Friendship Room is in the business of changing and shaping lives. The work we do at our 501C 3 Non-Profit Organization is aimed at providing a holistic, love filled and nondiscriminatory approach to solving some of our society’s biggest challenges. We make sure our guests are empowered by creating opportunities for education, healthy relationship building and mental stability for individuals. This would not be available without the donations made by those who volunteer time, money, or time.

The Table of Hope is a hot meal program for any individual or family. We provide a hot meal on Mondays from 5-6:00 in the basement of the First United Methodist Church (part of the WUMC) at 3301 West Street, Weirton, WV 26062. Carry out is also available to those that do not wish it eat in. We take donations as well, and welcome volunteers. Everything is free, and there are no questions asked. Area personal volunteer for the program. Not only is FUMC where the program is hosted but also keeps the kitchen and other appliances up to date.
