Bible Study is very important to the United Methodist Church, and the Weirton charge is no exception. We would like to help you get in contact with a group or private plan. The Weirton UMC office is a good place to start. Always looking for recommendations on specific study topics or books (like historical United Methodist beliefs or New Testament studies), we are here to help you.
These studies are usually 4–6-week programs, usually taking place in the basement of Christ United Methodist Church on Pennsylvania Ave on Wednesday evening between 6-630 start and 7:30 to 8 ending. This is often accompanied by a lite pot luck dinner shared by the members. Call or email the office for more information. Click below to find a list of the most receant studies.
PRAYER GROOUPS
A prayer group is a gathering of individuals who meet regularly to pray for shared concerns, praise God, and support one another spiritually. Whether meeting in person or online, these groups foster community, accountability, and mutual encouragement through corporate prayer. Prayer group was historically started by Reverand Patty at the PV church and has continued after Patty had gone to be with the Lord. The group is a close nit family that has migrated to CUMC every other Thursday at 615 pm in the lower level. Any one from the community is welcome to the group. An online prayer chain is also included with the prayer group.
